Job Summary:


The primary focus of this position is to ensure that all Ironclad Environmental Solutions' units are successfully delivered and picked up from customer sites while ensuring the drivers are following all safety and DOT regulations.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Promotes safety first for all areas of dispatch. Ensures drivers are following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage the yard & drivers for multiple branch locations, which include:
  • Scheduling and assigning drivers and vehicles to convey Ironclad Environmental Solutions' Units
  • Reviews nextday/week deliveries and pickups, and develops a dispatch plan
  • Enters all assignments into the database (Descartes)
  • Notifies drivers of daily assignments
  • Tracks Drivers while they are out on delivery/pickup
  • Assists Drivers in troubleshooting when necessary
  • Sets daily/weekly priories for the team
  • Conducts performance discussions and training
  • Ensures Drivers have collected all appropriate documentation and signatures related to delivery/pickup of units. The dispatcher will also work with the Driver and Customer if the unit is damaged
  • Communicate with customers to assist in scheduling daily/weekly activities
  • Informs customer of delivery/pickup times
  • Answers customer questions about delivery/pickup
  • Maintains daily log files and preventative maintenance files and records the information into the appropriate systems. Ensures all daily/weekly/monthly paperwork is completed, recorded, and filed
  • Maintains the branch's budgeted trucking profit margin
  • Coordinates with outside vendors regarding trucking and deliveries. This will include outside hauling services, as needed, and assisting Drivers with obtaining required annual, monthly, and daily city/state transportation permits.
  • Works with branch and corporate sales to determine driver schedule availability, and when available, can schedule deliveries/pickups outside of the current dispatch schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT USED AND RESPONSIBILITY:


  • Computer, telephone, radio, and electronic office equipment
  • MS Office Suite
  • GPS and tracking software

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • 1 year of experience with dispatching preferred
  • Familiar with standard concepts of scheduling and dispatching
  • 12 years of Customer Service Experience
  • RCRA / Hazwopper certification a plus
  • Manifest Deciphering a plus
  • Environmental Waste experience is a plus
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Knowledge of DOT and statespecific safety regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problemsolve
  • Communicate clearly: verbal and written
  • Valid Driver's License
