Bodyguards for our little superheroes

Valmont is looking for nursing professionals with a specialization in pediatric nursing to care for, support, and observe patients in the child and adolescent age group in both outpatient and inpatient settings. They have a keen eye for the individual needs of children and act as a link between patients, medical professionals, and other healthcare professionals such as psychologists, physiotherapists, and speech therapists.

At the end of the second year of training, our apprentices have the option to complete their training as a nursing professional with a specialization in pediatrics or as a pediatric nurse (m/f/d).

What to expect:

In both outpatient and inpatient settings, you will be responsible for the care, support, and observation of patients in the child and adolescent age group. Some of the tasks include:

Independent performance of basic and treatment care

Assisting patients with getting up, eating meals, personal hygiene, and using the bathroom

Performing blood draws and administering injections

Applying splints and bandages

Wound care and changing dressings

Administering prescribed medications

Providing guidance to patients and their parents and promoting their independence

Assisting with medical examinations
