PART-TIME GROUP TEACHER (hiring immediately, within 3 weeks)**I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization in New York City. We are dedicated to provide creative, fun, and diverse Afterschool experience to the students in our program, and we are looking for passionate Part-time Group teachers to be part of this positive impact
Work Location:
P.S. 178 Brooklyn, New York
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 2 pm to 6 pm ET
Set rate:
$20 per hour

The Afterschool Program is a fund-based program
Group Teacher's Functions:
- Develop curriculum for class for grade levels K5 and facilitate core components specific group activities.
- Develop and implement projectbased lesson plans and activities in areas of expertise that enrich academic learning.
- Develop weekly lesson plans and implement them during class.
- Write and submit lesson plans and reports to the Supervisor.
- Coordinate and plan students for school performances and shows.
- Assess student learning and skills during rehearsals.
- You are responsible for the safety and supervision of children in classes you facilitate.
- Implement social emotional learning principles in the classroom.
- Maintain two way and ongoing communication with parents, program director, group teachers, activity specialists and regular school staff as needed.
- Assist in all activities such as snack time, field trips, special events and dismissal, etc.
- Maintain daily accurate participant attendance of each class taught and written progress of each student in student files, including activity and signout records.
- Implement daily program standards of excellence.
- Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities assigned at any time
Skills and Requirements:
- High School degree with 2 + years of experience working with children
- Teaching experience preferred; volunteer and internship experience considered
- You must have expertise in one of the following: _Sports (looking for someone with sports expertise: such as basketball, wrestling)_
- You must be familiar with the DOE and OCFS Clearance Process, and complete the background check requirements. Cost is not covered by I'RAISE

- Are you comfortable working with Pre-K to 6th grade students? Please make sure you have relevant experience working with these grade levels as a group leader or group teacher.
- Have you completed DOE Fingerprint Clearance with public schools in NYC within 3 years? If yes, what was the date and year? The cost for this fingerprint process is $105 which I'RAISE does not cover or reimburse
- Have you ever completed OCFS6000 Packet as a group leader/group teacher at a Afterschool Program in New York City? You will be required to complete the OCFS6000 Packet.
- Provide your experiences working at an Afterschool Program in New York City, with grade levels Prek to 6th graders. You will be required to work with all grade levels from Prek to 6th graders and must feel comfortable.
- What is your creative expertise? (Dance, Music, Art, Sports?) Share your experience.
