Description

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program for residents, taking into consideration their individual needs and interests.
Plan and organize a variety of activities, events, and outings that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth execution of activities and events.
Provide counseling and support to residents on aging issues, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to address the emotional and psychological needs of residents.
Manage the schedule of activities, ensuring that they are wellbalanced and meet the preferences of residents.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and evaluate the effectiveness of the program.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
Previous experience working with older adults or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
Knowledge of aging issues, including ADLs and common challenges faced by older adults.
Ability to plan, organize, and execute a variety of activities for diverse groups of individuals.
Excellent time management skills to effectively manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide emotional support to residents.
