About Behavioral Care Solutions

We are a GROWING COMPANY: Behavioral Care Solutions is the largest provider of psychiatric and psycho-social services in long-term care in the Mid-West, supporting 600 long-term care facilities across Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and the surrounding areas.

We are currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant with a focus on geriatric psychiatry to join our team in Jackson, MI.

Location: Jackson, MI

Part Time or Contractual

We provide our Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with:

Daytime positions
Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends or on-call duties
Flexible working hours and autonomy
Increased one-on-one time with patients
Support from a dedicated Practice Manager
Opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team
Access to state-of-the-art clinical systems

Qualifications For The Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

PA or NP degree from an accredited University
Must hold a valid, full license and DEA# in the State
Demonstrated skills in effective communication with patients, families, and staff
Proven knowledge of mental health care delivery and collaboration with other disciplines

Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant include:

Providing psychiatric services including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment primarily for geriatric patients in various care facilities such as rehab centers, assisted living, and nursing homes
Prescribing or adjusting psychotropic medications
Conducting patient consultations per day
Collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care
Adhering to Medicare standards and accurate documentation

The Following is a Plus:

1+ years of experience in providing mental health services for the geriatric population
Familiarity with Medicare guidelines, care standards, and documentation
