    Position OverviewNavistar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lead Controls Engineer to join our Controls Engineering team at the San Antonio manufacturing plant.

    The Senior Lead Controls Engineer is a technical expert in plant floor control systems and is responsible for overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of control systems for manufacturing equipment.

    San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM).This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.

    ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, select, and order control system equipment that is most appropriate and cost effectiveDesign, develop and maintain control systems for industrial machinery and processesEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulationsParticipate in project planning, estimation, and documentationEstablish programs and solutions for increasing uptimeSupports in troubleshooting manufacturing equipmentProvide technical assistance to other cross functional areas Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degreeAt least 8 years of product manufacturing experienceAt least 1 year of lead experience ORMaster's degreeAt least 6 years of product manufacturing experienceAt least 1 year of lead experience ORAt least 10 years of product manufacturing experienceAt least 1 year of lead experience Additional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
