Pencor and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers_**A Construction Technician is needed to perform a variety of overhead / underground construction duties for Blue Ridge Communications.

Responsibilities include:

Placing hardline cables
Frame and strand poles
Lash /Overlash cable
Transfer facilities between poles
Place cable in joint trenches
Digging trenches
Climbing Poles and Ladders
Maintenance and upgrades

Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
Aerial Construction Experience
Solid background in Electronics
Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record
Knowledge of all hardware, cable types and related equipment
Ability to complete pole transfers
Ability to construct strand / cable
Ability to overlash fiber onto existing plant
Ability to read and interpret system design prints
Ability to climb utility poles
Ability to lift up to 80lbs to chest level on a continual basis throughout shift
Ability to operate construction vehicles and cable trailers safely
Ability to work overtime as needed; must be available for a normal 40 hour work week plus on call and emergency purposes
