    Description
    What You Can Expect
    As an Operations Technician III at Howard University, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, legal, and efficient operation of campus utility systems, including steam, electricity, and condensate. Your responsibilities will include monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues, and communicating with management.

    What You'll Bring
    • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in steam engineering
    • Minimum 3rd Class DC Steam Engineers License
    • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and communicate operational issues effectively
    • Experience in chemical analysis and adjusting treatments for water systems
    • Familiarity with repair and maintenance of plant equipment
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple assignments
    • Proficiency in software applications like Maximo, SAP, ADP
    Additional Details
    • Role requires daily on-site presence
    • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license
    • Comfortable with outdoor work and exposure to weather conditions
    • Expected to adhere to safety standards and communicate effectively
    • Ability to lift objects and work in various physical positions
    • Willingness to develop technical skills
    Compensation

    Salary Range: $32.94 to $41.13 USD hourly

    This range represents typical pay for this role, which may vary based on factors such as experience and education. The position may also be eligible for bonuses.
