Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and assist with medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean living space.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with transportation as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
- Document and maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities and any observed changes in health.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and secure environment for clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field preferred.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
