Hourly Rate/Salary Range: Per Paraprofessional Agreement

Start Date: September 4, 2024

Work Week: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Student Level: High School

Positions Summary:
Performs intermediate protective service work by providing for a safe and secure school environment, fostering an optimal learning environment, and intervening with students exbibiting unsafe or poor behavior. Responsibilities include supervision of common school spaces campus such as the parking lot, hallways, bathrooms and learning commons; teaming with the Associate Principal to enforce school and District policies; monitoring security cameras; monitoring visitors; reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions; and assisting administrators and/or staff with emergency or investigative situations. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Associate Principal. This role supports building behavior and attendance concerns with specific interventions.

Education and /or Experience:
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with adolescents
Associates/Technical degree preferred.

Special Requirements

• Must hold AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, approved competency portfolio or pass MN Parapro test.
• Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota.
