Position Summary


Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician can be responsible for primary and back-up performance of QA functions in: first article inspection, inspection plans, nonconforming material, material processing (MRB), product and process audits, supplier programs and coordination of process documentation related to Red Lion's ISO certification.

Essential Job Functions

Documentation

  • Creation, editing and posting of documents to SharePoint. Coordinates document origination and revision approval process so as to obtain and record approval by all required process owners.
  • Coordinates owners of company processes/procedures to update documents to be easier to read, more useful and correct.
  • Responsible for maintaining and modifying SharePoint repository of documents and information.
Quality Assurance

  • Performs first article inspections and inspection plan completion with respect to incoming raw materials.
  • Summarizes and interprets measurement results. Can perform measurements on the optical comparator
  • Provides factbased justifications for enhanced, relaxed or terminated inspection operation on a partbypart basis.
  • Conducts product audits on finished goods and inprocess products to ensure internal and external specifications are met.
  • Assist with testing of new products, checking electrical specifications on existing products and perform any other quality assurance assigned tasks.
Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a science/engineering related discipline or 5 years of related Quality Assurance work experience
  • Proficiency with automated optical/mechanical inspection equipment along with manual inspection equipment and techniques.
  • Experience working in an ISOcertified facility that includes work such as writing procedures, facilitating compliance discussions with manufacturing or engineering, performing qualityrelated testing or certification, etc.
  • Demonstrates oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping abilities are a must.
  • Proficiency with English language both written and verbal communication.

Working Conditions

  • Routine movement throughout the production facility.
  • Use of hands to touch, feel, or handle and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual acuity required for close work, color differentiation, depth perception, and to adjust focus.
Safety Hazards

  • Manufacturing environment requiring appropriate eye and hand protection.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.

$ $30.00 per hour
