    **Description**

    **Company Information:** The Company is a leader in its field, supplying flavour ingredients to the food industry and specialized ingredients to the biotech industry. With 600 employees and 6 plants worldwide (including one in the US), We are looking to add to our team of Customer Service Representatives.

    **Duties and Responsibilities** include the following (other duties may be assigned):

    Manage an assigned group of customers

    Create and manage orders from order entry thru to invoicing

    Verify stock availability and assign lots

    Coordinate per-shipment samples as needed.

    Issue invoices and ensure timelines of payments.

    Handle product returns as needed.

    Knowledge of Export Shipments

    Handle Standard Documentation

    Assist sales managers, brokers and distributors with:

    Samples, technical documents, brochures and marketing info, price proposals

    Assistance and coordination with Quality dept on quality issues or question from customers

    Sales data & reports from the ERP

    Proactively communicate and interact with other business functions and disciplines within the organization (Sales Managers and Brokers, Supply Chain, Quality, Accounting and Finance, Sales & General Management)

    Participate in sales and planning functions, including sales forecasting and inventory planning.

    Periodically run special queries regarding sales data and customer information.

    Directly communicate with Manager to effectively coordinating customer pricing, and enforce commercial policies and actions defined by management.

    Assist with price communications and Sales Team with required documents.

    Availability of night and weekend time might be required (in exceptional circumstances)

    Assist in handling customer service needs for an emergency shipment order, recall situation or during a shut-down crisis.

    **Education and/or Experience**

    Bachelors degree (B. A.) or equivalent, major in/ specialized in international trade/ logistics/ business administration. 3+ years in a similar position, in the food industry preferred. The candidate must have had at least 2 or 3 years professional experience in the food industry during his/ her career.

    **Language Skills**

    Proficiency in a second language preferred but not required Spanish or French.

    **Computer Skills**

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good, general computer literacy. Knowledge and understanding of an ERP operating system (SAP). Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft operating software programs (such as Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Word, Share Point, and Power Point).

    **Other Qualifications**

    Travel: estimated 10% or less. Travel may be more frequent in the first 3- 4 months to train on current ERP.

    Understanding of basic accounting principles and knowledge of freight, warehouse, and logistics coordination.

    Communication- Is able to communicate efficiently and in a timely manner.

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
