    As a Fireproofing Estimator with Rolling Plains Construction, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase of our projects.

    Your primary responsibility will be to accurately estimate the cost of fireproofing materials and labor for various construction projects in North Texas, West Texas, and Oklahoma.

    You will work closely with the project management and field operations team to provide accurate and competitive budgets and proposals, contributing to our success in securing new projects.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand fireproofing and spray insulation requirements.
    • Complete quantity takeoffs of materials.
    • Calculate labor costs based on project scope and complexity.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to gather pricing information on fireproofing materials.
    • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for fireproofing work.
    • Collaborate with office leadership, project managers, and field operations teams to develop competitive bid proposals.
    • Participate in bid review meetings to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
    • Participate in handoff meetings to ensure consistent project transitions from preconstruction to operations.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new fireproofing technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven experience as an estimator or project engineer in the construction industry, with specific experience in fireproofing estimation preferred.
    • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
    • Proficiency in using construction estimation software and tools.
    • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
