JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, performs audits of the production line to ensure conformance to DENSO standards. Conducts product receiving, tracking, inspection, disassembly, investigation, disposition and documentation of returned warranty and product defect-claimed parts.





ENTRY SALARY:
$18.00 per hour


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs online production audits for process compliance and quality confirmation to ensure conformance to manufacturing processes and standards. Issues corrective actions reports when nonconformance is identified.
  • Performs inspection of components from suppliers per AQL Sampling. Records all findings according to established process, coordinating with others as appropriate. Collaborates with quality engineer(s) to document product quality issues, process rejected components, issues Rejection Notice (RN) and/or Work Order if necessary.
  • Performs warranty parts receiving, inspection and performance testing for warranty claim verification. Collaborates with Warranty department to document inspection/testing results and appropriate chargeback.
  • Collaborates with quality engineers, production, QA supervisor/manager, as well as others, on defect investigation finding to identify root cause and implement countermeasures.
  • Responsible for keeping lab and quality audit stations organized and efficient.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • H.S. diploma or GED required

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 03 years of relevant experience required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Competency in use of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
  • Ability to use mechanical inspection tools, forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to read and understand starter and alternator drawings/specifications.
  • Attention to detail, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, give and welcomes feedback, establishes and maintains good working relationships throughout the company by supporting others

Exposure is to a manufacturing environment, which lends itself to varying levels of exposure to dust, odor, fumes and temperature extremes dependent upon assigned location(s) within the manufacturing plant.

Incumbent may be assigned to other areas such as clean room environments or areas where there may be medium to high noise levels requiring participation in the company's Hearing Conservation Program.

Employee must wear appropriate protective welding gear, gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, mask, steel-toed shoes, apron or other predefined personal protective equipment when working in the production and/or warehouse areas.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

Throughout the course of the day, the employee is frequently required to sit, climb or stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.


Depending on location, the employee may be exposed to temperature extremes varying from very hot in summer (up to 100 degrees) to very cold in winter (down to 45 degrees).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to moving mechanical parts and material handling equipment.


In the course of performing welding duties, if a part of assigned job, there is exposure to heat, bright light and airborne ember-like particles.

For employees whose regularly assigned work environment is not the production floor, there will be some exposure to dust, odor, fumes, noise, and temperature extremes when job duties take them into the production and/or warehouse areas.

Safety shoes, safety glasses and ear protection must be worn while in the production and/or warehouse areas.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


Must be willing and available to work assigned schedule to include daily overtime, weekends, or alternate shift hours as assigned by Supervisor/Manager to reach production goals.
