Unarmed Security Officer

Pay Rate: 17.00 per hour

Location:
Wilkes Barre, PA

Shift(s)

1. Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

2. Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

3. Monday - Thursday 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) monitoring
  • Foot patrol of client site
  • Follow a set route schedule
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Pleasantly welcomes and screens all guests
  • Issues identification badges to all visitors.
  • Directs or escorts guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Must be in company issued uniform at all times.
  • Must be punctual and on time for all shifts.
  • Observes and reports unusual or suspicious activity
  • Interacts with staff and guests in a courteous manner
  • Coordinates with other team members to provide a safe and secure environment
  • Promptly answer telephone calls with a polite and courteous manner.

Basic Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of security experience.
  • Ability to walk approximately 8,000 steps per shift
  • Must have at least five years of working experience in customer service
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable means of communication (active smartphone with the ability to download apps)
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Must be punctual and ready to work at the start of every shift
  • Must have a friendly, outgoing personality, and work well with others
  • Must be professional and courteous with supervisors, and fellow team members
  • Successfully pass Background Investigation
  • Successfully pass PA State Criminal Background Check

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Corrections and/or Law Enforcement experience
