We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse for the Endovascular Procedural Unit (EPU), you will be responsible for the prep and recovery of patients coming to have procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Angiography/IR suite, or the Hybrid OR.
In addition, EPU RNs are expected to participate in procedures and diagnostic testing requiring the administration of sedation and monitoring of patients during conscious sedation.
Procedures and diagnostic testing performed in the EPU include cardioversions, TEEs, and loop recorder insertions.You will provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the immediate post-anesthesia period and transition the patient to Phase II recovery.
You will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the EPU department.
What qualifications you may need:
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date
1-2 years of previous experience preferred
