We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess either a Master's in Taxation (MST) and CPA certification or a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA certification, and substantial public accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
Assist clients with tax planning strategies and provide guidance on tax-related issues.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries.
Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and optimize tax strategies.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients and colleagues.
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns and projects.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and interns.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Taxation (MST) and CPA certification OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification, and substantial public accounting experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Prior experience in public accounting is preferred.
