- Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures in order to make environmental, health and safety recommendations appropriately.
- Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals.
- Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Serves as the contact person with all federal, state and local regulatory bodies.
- Maintain workflow, communicate significant problems or production delays to the next level in the chain of command.
- Prepares and presents EHS training materials and courses.
- Support environmental regulatory compliance as required.
- Support investigations and corrective actions.
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Responsible for maintaining all compliance documentation and filing.
- Monitors compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
- Support the CARE values of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and programs, including OSHA.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental compliance programs, including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, Hazardous Waste, and Air Permitting.
- Experience working with federal, state and local regulatory.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental health and safety inspections.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
