Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Senior Engineer Traffic, we'll count on you to:
Provide design oversight for the production of traffic signals, signing, and striping.
Provide oversight for delivering capacity and signal warrant analyses, traffic studies, signal timing optimization, traffic modeling and transportation planning projects.
Lead the development of scope, schedule, and budget for sub tasks within large projects and standalone projects.Track financial aspects of your assigned projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to scope, schedule and budget.
Interface with client and/or client-facing teams to coordinate delivery of a successful project. Support business development, proposals, and other marketing activities. Demonstrate extensive experience conducting public participation, agency coordination, transportation planning and programming.This position has the opportunity to supervise EITs and Junior planners to support ongoing team development.
QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in planning, Engineering, or related fieldA minimum of 10 minimum years' experience in ITS and traffic engineering for urban and rural highways, major and minor interchanges, and intersectionsProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseStrong knowledge of local, state, and federal requirements for transportation.
Experience using HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Cube, similar software packages.Solid business development skills:
demonstrated ability to relate well to clients; and demonstrated presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in planning, Engineering or a related fieldAICP license holderExperience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Open Roads Designer or ArcGIS is a plus.
