What You Will Do In Your Role:
- You will assist the Director with all department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long range plan, mission, vision, and values of the facility.
- You will assist in coordinating the department's participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
- You will ensure that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
- You will provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
- You will be responsible assisting, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
What qualifications you will need:
- 3 years of experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Prior Cath Lab experience is preferred
- 1 year of management or Charge Nurse experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

445+ bed acute care hospital located in the heart of central Houston, adjacent to the Medical Center and Museum District, and provides quality care for the greater Houston area.
We also offer 24/7 emergency services and two intensive care units:
surgical intensive care unit (SICU) and medical intensive care unit (MICU).
We are an accredited
Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) Center and an accredited
Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI.
