Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.


The New York University Grossman School of Medicines Center for Healthful Behavior Change, housed in the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity is leading a new initiative that involves partnerships with several large health care centers including the Family Health Centers at NYULH and NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation.

The purpose of this project is to guide the implementation of a maternal health community implementation project.

We will engage diverse health system stakeholders and community partners in learning hubs, study implementation, and best practice dissemination with the goal of improving maternal health outcomes and reducing maternal health disparities in the New York City catchment area.

The Research Data Associate will ensure the accurate execution of the study protocol in accordance with Good Clinical Practices, HIPAA, and IRB.

The Research Data Associate will be primarily focused on participant study recruitment and post-recruitment tasks such as collecting follow-up surveys, and data entry.

The Research Data Associate will communicate closely with the Principal Investigators and other members of the study team to provide updates about study progress and related issues.

The Research Data Associate will be assigned to work on different assignments and tasks between projects based on real-time needs of project and interests of the individual.


Responsibilities:


  • Participant Recruitment and

Data Collection:

Assist with developing participant recruitment plans; recruit and screen patients for eligibility; if eligible, complete necessary paperwork, questionnaires, and tests.

Review entered data, edit obvious errors, and obtain missing information. Document all data accurately and neatly. Maintain patient confidentiality. Adhere to adverse events reporting protocols.

  • Participant Tracking: Track participant flow through the study and update tracking logs in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain participanttracking databases for compliance with data monitoring and confidentiality protocols. Contact participants to schedule them for study visits and send retention letters as needed.
  • Project Knowledge: Demonstrate mastery of research protocol. Have a thorough knowledge of current department research studies and their rationales.
  • Site Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with recruitment sites and participants. Demonstrate effective and professional communication with recruitment sites and study participants. If needed, assist Project Coordinator with site recruitment.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:


To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field. Prior experience in a health care settings.
Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills.
Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to follow study protocol rigorously.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $28.16- $32.14 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compe
