    Position Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant within our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for our clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform detailed examination and analysis of financial records to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
    • Assist in the planning and execution of financial audits for clients
    • Conduct substantive testing of financial transactions and account balances
    • Identify and communicate any potential financial risks or discrepancies to management
    • Collaborate with team members to develop and recommend improvements to internal control systems
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance with current requirements

    Requirements

    Minimum

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • 0-2 years of public accounting experience within audit, or a blend of audit, financial statement and tax work
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

    Preferred

    • CPA certification or actively working towards obtaining certification
    • Experience using CCH ProSystem or QuickBooks
