Role
As a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver you will be responsible for shipping, receiving and daily deliveries of laboratory furniture products to customers in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Store items in an orderly manner in warehouse
- Examine and inspect materials for damage or defects upon arrival
- Use fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely handle, load and unload material
- Verify the contents of deliveries against bill of lading and packing slips. Check and note all damages or missing items on bill of lading
- Schedule, plan and communicate deliveries and shipments with the Project Management and Installation team
- Read and prepare work orders, packing slips and other paperwork as necessary
- Maintain tracking for incoming and outgoing material and warehouse inventory
- Load/Unload material at job sites within the Mid-Atlantic Region
- Perform routine safety inspection of vehicle and equipment
- Inventory and maintain an adequate supply of installation material and product in our warehouse
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients, project managers, and other subcontractors on the job
- Assist/conduct inside deliveries or installations as required
- Assist Baltimore office with similar duties if needed
Skills & Competencies
- Experience driving 1826' box trucks
- Safe, clean driving record (Employment contingent on clean Background Check).
- Must be able to obtain DOT medical card
- Experience operating a fork truck in a warehouse setting or fork truck certification
- Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions
- Must be able to bend, lift, and carry 50+ pounds using proper lifting techniques
- Able to provide the highest level customer service
- Dependable
- Able to effectively manage and prioritize information, schedules and people
- Basic computer skills required (MS Word & Excel)
- Fork lift certification a plus, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 a plus.
