Wedgemere Healthcare is searching for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our management team as Assistant Director of Nursing & Staff Development (ADON/SDC).

As the ADON/SDC/RN, you will support the Director of Nursing Services in coordinating the daily operations of the Nursing Services Department in compliance with current regulations. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks including:

Participating in creating and updating nursing policies, procedures, and training materials.
Conducting orientation, training, and education programs for staff.
Identifying facility education needs and implementing training programs.
Collaborating with other resident services to enhance nursing coordination.
Addressing deficiencies and ensuring quality care from nursing personnel.
Participating in surveys and inspections by regulatory agencies.
Overseeing proper documentation in nurse's notes.
Identifying and resolving problem areas in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Services.

Qualifications:

Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license and be in good standing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
Previous experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals or long term care facilities.
Experience in long term care or skilled nursing is a plus.
Familiarity with nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines in long term care.
Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
