Image Quality Engineer - Foster City, United States - Zoox
Description
Zoox is looking for an Image Quality Engineer to support tuning and testing of our production cameras' automotive image sensors for autonomous vehicles.
This candidate should have experience tuning image signal processing algorithms and a basic understanding of geometric optics and image formation.
The candidate should be familiar with modern imaging techniques, such as high dynamic range (HDR) and tone-mapping.The image quality engineer should have experience designing and performing tests in the lab and in the field to verify detector performance.
QualificationsBS in computer science, physics, optics, EE, or similar
2+ years of relevant professional experience
ISP algorithms (e.g. HDR, tone-mapping)ISP tuning of HDR sensors, automotive sensors a plus
Familiarity with industry leading providers of automotive ISPs
Image quality testing and corresponding test standards (e.g. MTF/SFR, color reproduction)
Python, MATLAB Technical writing
Strong communication skills
Bonus Qualifications
Experience programming with C++, Git/GitHub
Vaccine Mandate
