Duties:


  • Serves as the Counterterrorism spokesman at formal and informal briefings, internal/external working groups, and senior liaison duties on extremely technical and complex program activities.
  • Provides interpretation, intelligence analyses, and drafts critical internal/interagency intelligence assessments and recommendations that support operational determinations by executive leadership.
  • Identifies, distributes, and balances workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, and/or occupational specialization.
  • Articulates/communicates team assignments, projects, actionable events, milestones, challenge resolutions, program issues under review, and/or deadlines/time frames for completion.
  • Performs human resource management functions: leave/timesheets, performance management, hiring official, training/development, retention management, and organizational design.

Conditions of Employment:


  • United States Citizenship is required.
  • Relevant experience (see Qualifications below).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.
  • Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer is required.
  • If you have no prior Federal experience or are selected under Delegated Examining procedures, you will be required to serve a oneyear probationary period.
  • If you select to be considered under Merit Promotion requirements, you must meet the TimeinGrade requirements before the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
  • You may be required to serve a one year Supervisory probationary period.

Qualifications:


Specialized Experience:


GS-14:You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-13 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position include
:
a) Communicating counterterrorism vetting procedures to internal/external stakeholders; b) Collaborating with Intelligence and Law Enforcement communities at the working-level and/or participating in interagency meetings; c) Coordinating with senior officials on counterterrorism vetting matters to address national security issues impacting global development programs; and d) Maintaining vetting and security related metrics to assist in strategic allocation of vetting unit resources, personnel, and/or operations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience.
