    Description

    Overview:

    General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems produces high-quality, high performance gun systems for a broad spectrum of land, sea, and air applications. Our products are built on decades of experience and knowledge in innovative design and development and the latest manufacturing technologies. We are an industry leader in the development and production of single and multi-barrel gatling guns, individual crew-served weapons, ammunition handling systems, shipboard defense systems, gun pods and loaders.

    Designs, implements and monitors a variety of human resource programs | Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management | Responsibilities are within the Human Resources Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

    Major Position Responsibilities:
    • Manages the human resources function of an organization.
    • Oversees execution of human resources policies and programs, which may include recruitment and onboarding, training and career development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits planning.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA.
    • Assists line managers in the application of HR programs to departmental operations.
    • Answers employee/candidate questions about HR policies and offerings.
    • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.
    Basic Qualifications:

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to foster teamwork. Management skills. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Customer/client orientation. Detail oriented. Interpersonal skills. Planning skills.

    Required Education: Associates Degree and/or Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience

    Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

    Discipline/Major: Business or Human Resources preferred

    Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 5 - 7 years experience
