Job Overview and Responsibilities Acts as sourcing expert within Procurement, and liaison with Planning, Commercial, and qualifications, providing context and focus on opportunities, projects and issues for specified raw materials with a focus on composite fibers. Individual will have direct responsibility to manage assigned suppliers supporting the Materials Business Unit. Position to be located at one of the Composite Materials sites in North America. **Responsibilities**

Ownership of Requests for Information / Requests for Proposal, timely delivery to the business for specified raw materials.

Create value through negotiated savings and improved cash flow. Ownership of specified raw materials price lists, purchase price variation management, report out and actions where required to maintain inflation objectives.

Ownership of select supplier relationships to ensure performance to the business.

Key day to day point of contact with specified suppliers.

Support site personnel in resolution of problems with specified material suppliers, elevating to higher levels within organization (Global Planner, Global Procurement Manager) and the Supplier organization when required to obtain the required outcome.

Improve supplier service measurements through effective use of vendor rating tools and supplier feedback meetings.

Coordinate purchasing with other corporate buyers, purchase contracts and purchase agreements, distribution, procurement services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy.

Collaborate with Procurement category and commodity managers for sourcing strategies, contract development.

Collaborate with Finance and category/commodity managers to establish standard cost and budget input.

Analyze and improve sourcing and supplier management, generate saving within our Purchasing Excellence program.

Participate in cost efficiency projects (I.e., Cash generating supplier financing project).

Education and Experience

BA/BS Degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related area. MBA a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of related experience with good understanding of purchasing laws, contracts, procedures and techniques.

Experience in cross-functional / cross-business team environment

Proven experience in Operations and / or Supply Chain in a day-to-day business execution environment

Previous experience in composite material's companies is a plus

Skills

Strong team player with good interpersonal skills at all levels of personnel

Strong communication skills orally, written, and presentation

Commercial and result critical thinking

Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work

Able to handle multiple tasks at the same time

Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter

Knowledge in the use of computers, ERP Systems (SAP), Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Windows, and Internet
