    Anchor Counseling & Education Solutions, LLC is a trusted and highly rated provider of special education related services for K-12 schools throughout California. We are urgently seeking a credentialed adapted physical education service and supports for students enrolled in K-12 educational settings both in group and individual capacity.

    Responsibilities of the Adapted Physical Education Teacher

    • Provide individual or small groups of students with adapted physical education instruction that meets adapted physical education needs or goals.
    • Travel to various locations for the provision of adapted physical education services and assessment.
    • Complete comprehensive motor assessments of individuals with disabilities and provide specific program recommendations
    • Provide direct services to students who are eligible and require APE services
    • Consult with other IEP team members about student needs in the area of APE
    • Monitor student progress
    • Prepare lesson plans in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and the functional abilities or needs of students.
    • Collect data and Maintain thorough student records to document attendance, participation, or progress, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
    • Maintain inventory of instructional equipment, materials, or aids
    • Evaluate the motor needs of individual students to determine their need for adapted physical education services.
    • Prepare annual reports including present levels of performance, progress on goals and proposed goals.
    • Participate in Progress reporting and monitoring throughout the academic year as needed.
    • Attend IEP meetings
    • Attend all required staff meetings
    • Virtual or In Person
    • Must be credentialed in the state of California

    Requirements / Qualifications

    A valid California Adaptive Physical Education Specialist credential and an English Learner authorization are required.

    • Copy of Transcript(s)
    • Credential Copy (must be CA Credential) with APE Add On Authorization
    • Credential must show Subject Description, expiration date and EL Authorization
    • Letter of Introduction
    • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Minimum of two letters)
    • Resume

    Comments and Other Information

    Offer of employment is contingent upon fingerprint clearance. There is a fee required by the Department of Justice, payable by the applicant, to process fingerprint clearance. Evidence that the applicant is free from tuberculosis according to Education Code 49406 is required.
