    Our client is looking for a customer-focused Microsoft Azure Cloud Data Engineer to collaborate with a team of experts and developers. The main task will be to design and execute data pipeline services for Azure cloud-based data storage, SQL, and NoSQL data. As a data engineer, you will transform business needs into data solutions to support a Microsoft Azure-based data analytics and reporting platform at an enterprise level. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, with a problem-solving mindset and a knack for innovation.

    In this role, you will:

    • Support the development, lifecycle management, and deployment of data pipeline services and solutions
    • Collaborate with clients and team members to grasp data requirements and implement suitable data solutions
    • Create and execute data models and pipelines for various types of data stores
    • Manage data storage efficiently
    • Develop various types of data pipelines using multiple programming languages and services
    • Redevelop or migrate existing data scripts to Azure platforms
    • Prepare data for advanced analytics, visualization, and AI/ML
    • Implement data migration, data integrity, and security functions
    • Monitor and resolve data-related issues
    • Implement governance standards and automate platform administration
    • Apply DevOps and CI/CD principles to code development and deployment

    Requirements:

    • BS degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience, or Masters with 6+ years of experience
    • 4+ years of experience in Azure-based data engineering solutions
    • Experience with various cloud services and scripting languages
    • Knowledge of Microsoft database and business intelligence tools
    • Experience with data management and cloud services
    • Ability to adapt to new technologies
    • Experience in Agile methodology and cloud-based development
    • Ability to obtain a government-issued Public Trust clearance

    Bonus qualifications:

    • Experience with Master Data Management processes
    • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
    • Experience with Azure DevOps
    • Understanding of data governance and data discovery tools
    • Microsoft or AWS certifications
