Position Overview:
As a Production Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction for a work group within the plant. You will track performance with respect to safety & the environment, quality, on-time delivery, cost for their respective area. In addition, you are the first line contact between production employees and the management staff.
In this role you will:
Conduct Daily Team stand-up meeting with all department personnel in area of responsibilityRepresent the company when interacting with production employees on the shop floorHelp drive and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performanceMonitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirementsCreate the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented where necessaryEnsure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform jobUtilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategiesDevelop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements in order to meet customer deadlinesQualifications:Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree from an accredited institutionMinimum two (2) years of manufacturing, production or operations experienceMinimum one (1) year of leadership experienceNo relocation is offered for this position.
All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of (Syracuse, NY) to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the futurePreferred
Qualifications:
