The Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) Cyber is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to DHS networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to DHS information systems including local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile/cellular, cloud, security devices, servers, and workstations.

The NOSC Cyber is responsible for the overall security of DHS Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations.

Leidos has an immediate need for a Data Acquisition Specialist to join our NOSC Cyber Team.

Primary Responsibilities

Respond to data acquisition requests from a variety of DHS and nonDHS customers, to include Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of General Counsel (OGC), law enforcement entities, etc.
Stay uptodate on new federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the collecting and dissemination of data to requestors
Work with requestors to capture and develop detailed requirements (governing such aspects as scope, timeframe, etc.), develop request project plans, and identify appropriate data sources to be targeted for each data acquisition request.
Operate as a liaison between requestors and technical staff supporting relevant data repositories for coordination of requests, production, and delivery of responsive data.
Utilize eDiscovery and specialized data acquisition suites for data manipulation, reporting, collating, and delivery in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Provide customers with regular status updates for their requests and apprise customers and federal management of any outages or disruptions in service that could negatively affect resolution time of data acquisition requests.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 4 years' experience managing data and information requests, particularly involving federal, state, and local laws and regulations, e.g. FOIA.
Minimum two years' experience handling data and information requests stemming from federal laws, regulations, or entities, e.g. FOIA requests, OIG inquiries, federal/state/local law enforcement investigations and/or the general public.
Extremely organized with a proven ability to work completely independently with accuracy, speed, completeness, and compliance managing multiple simultaneous request projects.
Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to perform crossorganizational coordination and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with federal, state, and/or local data reporting systems.
Indepth expertise in data acquisition methods, processes, tools, and procedures.

Pay Range $61, $111,625.00
