Position Title:

Technical Operations Junior Technician

Reports to:

Technical Operations Manager

Department:

Corporate

Position Overview

The Technical Operations Junior Technician will provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and training issues to ensure end user productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides technical support identifying, investigating, and resolving users problems with computer software and hardware for problems specific to the organizations computer networks and systems.
Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
Collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems.
Provides technical support to onsite and offsite locations.
Configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals.
Identify the causes of networking problems, using diagnostic testing software and equipment.
Document network support activities
Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.
Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Job Requirements/Skills

Familiar with Microsoft Office, Windows Server, MSSQL, Windows 10 Professional and Project.
Basic networking fundamentals and client/server architecture.
Basic wireless network experience.
Experience with Visual Basic, , and macro creation a plus.
Experience supporting Office 365 suite.
Experience with Microsoft Team is a plus.
Experience with Raspberry PIs is a plus.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
Willing to do whatever it takes to support the team and thus the customer.
Ability to participate in change activities and lead them as required.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Works well within a team environment.
Attention to details and aptitude for working with data.
Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized training or certification.
3+ years of related experience required. Help desk experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

Office Environment. Utilizing an office desksitting, reading, listening or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day
Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing and dexterity
Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather.
Ability to lift and carry object between 1530 lbs.
