- The Category Manager has overall product responsibility working collaboratively within a team.
- Main focus on industrial Motors and Power Transmission products like speed reducers, belts, pulleys, couplings, actuators, and more.
- Acts as a leader amongst other Product Managers in related product categories.
- Develop and expand product lines, filling gaps, and selecting suitable supplier partners.
- Analyze market and customer needs to identify product opportunities.
- Present new product opportunities with a clear understanding of the market, pricing, expected market share, and overall business costs.
- Travel may be required.
- Must hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or an approved equivalent.
- Experience in Product Marketing or Product Development and PandL responsibilities.
- Desirable experience with agency approvals (UL, CSA, CE, etc.) and CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
- Required self-confidence, organizational skills, time management, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently on projects, meet deadlines, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Stay informed on vendor product updates and technological advances related to assigned products.
- Develop annual sales plans in collaboration with account managers and vendors.
- Previous work should showcase professional interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize customer service, attention to detail, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
