Flour Power Kid's Cooking Studios:

Mesa-Gilbert is looking to hire part-time instructors for the studio located at the Mesa Grand Shopping Center (Stapley/US60), beginning
March 2024 Our instructors lead birthday parties, cooking classes, events, and camps.

While professional cooking experience is not required, confidence and competence in the kitchen is essential as well as the enjoyment of working with children.

Must be able to work weekends, weekday evenings, some weekdays, and Friday evenings as well school holidays. No late nights.


Responsibilities include:
*Leading demonstrations and following lesson plans for all ages and events including; Birthday parties, special events, weekly classes, and holiday/school break camps, independently at times *Working patiently and hands-on with children and adults *Delivering a fun and positive experience for children & adults *Ensuring a safe and clean environment before, during and after all classes/events *Setting-up and cleaning-up kitchens and work tables prior to and after each class/event *Keeping strong control of the learning environment at all times *Collaborating with the Flour Power Mesa-Gilbert team of instructors and providing thought suggestions to improve the customer experience *Additional duties as assigned


Qualifications:
*Experiencing delivering educational experiences or content to children and/or adults *Ability to be on your feet and walking around the room for multiple hours *A strong desire to work with children and adults in a teaching environment *Ability to ensure the delivery of a superior level of customer service, effectively communicating and resolving concerns. *Ability to work and function in a team environment *Strong ability to read and follow direction to demonstrate lessons *Possess an energetic, outgoing, positive attitude with other staff members and customers *Highly motivated, self-driven with the ability to work independently and hands-on with individuals of all ages *Strong verbal and written communication skills *Ability to multi-task, keep on task, and highly skilled in time-management *Flexibility to work day, evening and/or weekend hours as needed *Reliable transportation and on time arrival for each shift


Experience:

• 2+ years cooking experience (can be in home) 2 +years working with children (strongly preferred)

Additional Information:

• Part-Time Shifts / weekly hours vary
• Must be able to work weekends, weekday evenings, some weekdays, and Friday evenings as well school holidays. No late nights.
• Work shifts vary weekly and flexibility for students attending school programs and activities are considered
• 18+ Level 1 fingerprint clearance required for after school programs within Public Schools. _Instructors working in the public schools only_. Paid on behalf of Flour Power Mesa-Gilbert.
