Our Client has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer with expertise in electronic vehicle charging stations.


    Summary:
    We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in electronic vehicle charging station design and installation.

    As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing efficient, safe, and reliable charging infrastructure for electronic vehicles (EVs).

    You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and electrical contractors, to develop and execute cutting-edge charging solutions.

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering principles, proficiency in charging station technologies, and a passion for sustainable transportation.


    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Design and Development:

    • Create electrical system designs and schematics for electronic vehicle charging stations, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
    • Conduct load calculations, power system analyses, and equipment selection to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and clients to integrate charging infrastructure into existing or new construction projects.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate charging technologies, components, and equipment for various applications.

    Installation and Testing:

    • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electronic vehicle charging stations.
    • Coordinate with contractors, electricians, and other stakeholders to ensure proper installation and compliance with codes and regulations.
    • Conduct field inspections and troubleshoot any electrical or technical issues that arise during installation or operation.
    • Perform comprehensive testing, verification, and quality assurance procedures to ensure charging stations are operating optimally and safely.

    Project Management and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to define project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
    • Assist in preparing project proposals, cost estimates, and technical specifications for charging infrastructure installations.
    • Act as a technical advisor during project meetings, providing expertise on charging station design, infrastructure requirements, and best practices.
    • Ensure effective communication and coordination among various stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure successful project execution.

    Research and Innovation:

    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements, industry standards, and emerging trends in electronic vehicle charging technologies.
    • Conduct research and feasibility studies to identify new technologies and solutions that enhance the performance, efficiency, and safety of charging infrastructure.
    • Evaluate and recommend improvements or modifications to existing charging station designs based on research findings and customer feedback.
    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
    • Proven experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electronic vehicle charging stations or similar electrical power systems.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and regulations related to charging infrastructure.
    • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, electrical simulation software, and project management tools.
    • Familiarity with charging protocols and standards, such as SAE J1772, CHAdeMO, CCS, and wireless charging technologies.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and technical issues.
    • Strong project management and organizational abilities, with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Passion for sustainable transportation and commitment to environmental stewardship.
