Join our team of experts as we engineer national security
Altamira is searching for a R&D Engineer/Developer in the Dayton, Ohio area with knowledge in the aerospace modeling and simulation domain.
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Prototype solutions for estimating target/scene information from infrared sensor data.
Test and integrate prototyped solutions to enhance existing research and development tools.
Applies knowledge of mathematics, physics, and engineering to characterize and enhance algorithm performance.
Implement analytical approaches based on knowledge of traditional programming languages.
Ensures software standards are met. Develop using Python, MATLAB, C++ and/or other programming languages approved by the government.
Develop and produce reports on algorithm development/enhancement, tools, and data sources.
Support systems engineering processes in requirements analysis, validation, change control, and incorporating software information into appropriate engineering reviews.
Developing and maintaining program level documentation Software Development Plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science or relevant technical field.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Active TS/SCI Clearance (will consider Secret Collateral on case-by-case basis).
Prefer 5+ years of engineering and/or software development experience.
Experience with Python, MATLAB, C++, Java, JavaScript or other programming approved languages
Experience with Bayesian Statistics and Kalman Filtering or other probabilistic estimation for target tracking is strongly preferred
