    Job Summary:

    The Project Lead (Assisted Outpatient Treatment) provides program oversight and (clinical) guidance to the OCHN Assisted Outpatient Treatment team, as it relates to their direct job functions. The Project Lead is the primary contact for OCHN's provider network, crisis provider, Probate Court and other entities that may work with the individual placed on an AOT order. Project Lead is responsible for system wide education and training.

    Essential Functions:

    Under general direction and as assigned:

    • Responsible for the oversight of the AOT program, including overseeing, monitoring, and managing grant activities.
    • Completes timely reporting on grant activities, and any other reporting to OCHN.
    • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with OCHN's provider network, crisis providers, hospital system, Probate Court, and other entities who work with individuals placed on order.
    • Assists in program planning, policies and procedures, development and implementation following best practices.
    • Provides program oversight and guidance to OCHN's AOT team.
    • Assists with data collection, ensuring accuracy of implementation.
    • Back-up to team members and their job functions, which may require completing assessments, creating treatment plans, meeting individuals in the community / hospital / court / office to address their needs, monitoring treatment compliance, reporting treatment compliance to Probate Court through oral /written means and / or attending court hearings, coordinating community-based services, etc.
    • Provides education and training for Probate Court, provider network, community members, law enforcement and other entities.
    • Participates in agency meetings, including AOT Workgroup / Steering Committee.
    • Partakes in hiring and on-boarding of new AOT team members.

    Job Requirements and Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology.

    Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):

    • State of Michigan licenses, certification and / or registrations as Psychologist (LP), Social Worker (LMSW), Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Will consider limited license with appropriate experience.

    Training Requirements Preferred:

    • CAFAS / MICHICANS, LOCUS and ASAM training preferred.

    Experience Requirements:

    • At least 2 years psychiatric experience in one or more of the following areas: crisis work, screening, and assessment of children and adults with mental health, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities.

    Experience Requirements Preferred:

    • Experience in the OCHN public mental health system.
    • Experience in leading new initiatives and providing oversight / guidance to team members.

    • Ability to utilize Motivational Interviewing, as well as trauma-informed practices.
    • Have knowledge of health insurance practices and be able to direct clients in using services available to them through their health plans.

    In addition, the following are preferred competencies:

    • Experience in data collection, report writing and outcome measurement.

    Knowledge Requirements:

    • Knowledge of the OCHN system, providers, eligibility criteria, and community referral resources.
    • Knowledge of DSM-IV TR and DSM-V criteria.
    • Knowledge of the justice system, especially Probate Court proceedings.
    • Knowledge of services and support in a crisis continuum of care.
    • Knowledge of the Petition and Certification processes.
    • Knowledge of Recipient Rights.
    • Knowledge of LOCUS, preferred.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA.

    Additional Information:

    • Must have available means of transportation to and from OCHN and for required offsite meetings or site visits.
    • Must be available for meetings and events which may occur outside of standard office hours.
    • Work requirements include meeting individuals in the community, hospital, court, and / or office setting.
    • Hybrid (onsite/remote) work schedule available.
