    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Cost Accounting Manager with cost analysis and related reporting within our Food and Beverage Manufacturing company. The Cost Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing costs, providing accurate financial information, and helping identify effective cost-control measures to ensure the company's financial success and sustainability.

    Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 / per annum + bonus

    Shift Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

    Schedule: Monday - Friday

    Position Type: In-office full time

    Description of Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the company's cost accounting system, policies, and procedures.
    • Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
    • Maintain and analyze the Company's standard costs associated with its inventory across all locations, including raw materials, finished goods, and spare parts.
    • Assist the Cost Accounting Manager with the standard margin budgets during the annual budget process.
    • Assist Cost Accounting Manager in the quarterly standard cost update process.
    • Provide accurate budget to actual analysis related to price, yield, and standard margins.
    • Take ownership of the spare-parts inventory costing and item maintenance and partner with the Maintenance/Engineering team to drive process improvements.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and assist in the execution of improvement initiatives associated with spare-parts inventory and repair/maintenance related costs.
    • Assist with the annual financial statement audit by providing support during the annual physical inventory counts and related observation by the audit team, assisting in the schedule preparation and supporting documentation gathering for all inventory and cost testing required during audit fieldwork, and other areas, as required.
    • Regularly review and analyze purchase price variances, yield variances, other pricing, volume, or yield discrepancies, and units of measure to ensure accuracy across raw materials, finished goods, and spare parts inventory.
    • Develop thorough knowledge of the cost accounting system and its capabilities, recommending opportunities to gain efficiency and/or accuracy within the inventory/cost accounting environment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencies.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    Education and Experience Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • A Master's degree, CPA, or CMA qualification is preferred but not required.
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
