Construction and Capital Improvements Estimator
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Cost Estimation Specialist to join our growing multi-family development and property management company.
In this role, you will harness your analytical skills to gather and assess data, estimating the resources needed — from time and money to materials and labor — to bring these projects to life.
Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing special projects and capital improvement initiatives across our stabilized communities. Join us in San Diego and unlock the potential for professional growth in a dynamic and rewarding environmentResponsibilities:
- Estimating and getting bids on pricing various renovation projects
- Review drawings and specifications thoroughly.
- Review estimates and proposals promptly for various project types, including stipulated price, designbuild, and construction/project management projects.
- Create detailed cost breakdowns for estimates and monitor project progress.
- Coordinate subcontractor quotations, negotiate terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Maintain material and labor cost databases and unit pricing.
- Provide clear and detailed quantity takeoffs.
- Understand and ensure that hired contractors or vendors adhere to contractual terms and conditions.
- Foster relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Manage budgets for facility maintenance and capital improvement projects
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in building science, civil engineering, construction management, or construction science is a _plus but not required_.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position within the construction field preferred.
- Experience in the multifamily construction industry preferred.
- Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheet design.
- Excellent communication skills and strong organizational and followthrough abilities.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations.
- Selfmotivated, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to ensure customer satisfaction.

$ $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
