    Job Description
    EPC Power is looking to add an electrical engineer to our engineering team.

    In this role you will work with experienced engineers to lead the development of test fixture design on the production line.

    This will include main assembly, sub assembly, and board level test system design. You will be responsible for wiring schematics, documentation, and developing test design for current and new test systems. You will have opportunities to contribute to new product design, customer requests, lab testing, PCB development and troubleshooting.

    Responsibilities
    Development of hardware design for test fixtures for production line testing, includes wiring schematics, PCB design/layout, data acquisition, etc.
    Design for high volume manufacturing testing - bed of nails, inverter test fixtures on the sub assy and main assy levels
    Develop & execute test procedures to test mechanical/electrical components
    Select proper wire size and components based on ampacity and voltage requirements
    Develop, coordinate, and participate in board and equipment functional testing, wiring checkout, FAT, and end of line testing
    Troubleshoot system electrical issues as needed
    Participate in design development and validation activities
    Document design work & presentations
    Occasional travel may be required (

    Qualifications
    B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical engineering
    3+ years experience related to job responsibilities
    Solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of electrical power
    Strong understanding of electrical circuits
    Experience designing analog/digital circuitry
    Experience with circuit design for consumer or commercial products
    Experience with typical commercial and industrial electrical power (480Vac, 3p)
    Interested in power electronics
    Strong problem-solving skills
    ability to work well within a team and clearly communicate technical progress and challenges
    PCB layout and design via Altium
    Able to understand, maintain, and improve company electrical drawing standards
    Familiar with typical lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering stations, signal generators, DAQ

    Desired Skills
    Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
    Experienced with typical commercial and industrial cabinet wiring, documentation, wiring harnesses
    Experience with NI/Labview, Python, MatLab/Simulink, and/or C programming
    Soldering and PCB rework skills
    Hands on lab skills, prototyping, testing, cable harness fabrication, lab testing, board bring-up
    Previous power electronics experience
