    Job Summary

    The Materials Research Group at Luna Labs is in search of a Business Development Engineer who is passionate about advancing innovative materials-based products. This role offers a chance to blend technology and business acumen in a research-focused environment. As a Business Development Engineer, you will work alongside Principal Investigators to drive R&D projects, bridging the gap between business development and engineering teams. Strong tactical skills and effective communication are vital for this role.

    Duties and Major Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Principal Investigators on technical projects, from design to reporting
    • Conduct hands-on experiments to create new technologies
    • Create technical reports, one-pagers, and performance reviews for stakeholders
    • Gather customer feedback through various channels
    • Analyze design and testing requirements to meet customer needs
    • Support Business Development Manager in commercializing R&D technologies
    • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
    • Ensure a safe and organized work environment

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
    • Background in Business Administration or relevant experience in business development
    • 3+ years in Material Science industry, including product expertise
    • Experience with prototyping and product development
    • Ability to collaborate in a team setting
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience in a dynamic work environment
    • Capability to address issues and conflicts positively
    • U.S. Citizenship required due to government regulations
