Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Research and appeal denied claims
- Post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of coding guidelines and thirdparty payer requirements
- Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding billing issues
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical coding including ICD10, DRG, and ICD
- Experience in medical collection processes
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and billing practices
Pay:
$ $26.00 per hour
Experience:
- ICD10: 4 years (required)
