World Grace Project-School Outreach Coordinator
World Grace Project bridges barriers to the workforce for Black Hawk County, Iowa's low-income refugees through intricate partnerships, research, and advocacy.
The World Grace Project partners with area health agencies, schools, and nonprofits to promote pathways for minority communities to access child care and work opportunities.
Advocacy campaigns presented to both mainstream and immigrant communities work to address cross-cultural gaps and remove hidden barriers.Member Duties : The School Outreach Coordinator, VISTA, will analyze and expand our network with immigrant and refugee communities through an actionable partnership with the Waterloo Community School. The School Outreach Coordinator will record and report activities working with families to expand and engage healthy connections to community resources, job networks, housing, and child care. Engaging community members to monitor and measure a more robust integration support pathway for incoming immigrants/refugees. The School Outreach Coordinator will analyze and research the requests of refugee community members at the school to organize data regarding barriers to healthy community connections and employment. Coordinate with the Waterloo Schools to refine and grow the network of language interpretation via an application specific to the partnership. Generate a plan based on the data addressing the barriers revealed and creating connections to current WGP programming.
