As a Scheduler Specialty Access Center, you will be the first point of contact for many patients, using your customer service and critical thinking skills to schedule appointments in a Call Center for more than 30 specialty clinics. Your role involves ensuring patients receive necessary care by obtaining complete and accurate health information, as well as facilitating communication between patients and clinic staff. The ability to understand patient needs and provide suitable solutions is crucial. By delivering efficient communication and decision-making, you will enhance customer experience for a diverse population.

    Scheduler Specialty Access Center Overview

    Main responsibilities:

    • Proficiently use technology to manage patient appointment scheduling
    • Coordinate all aspects of patient scheduling according to protocols
    • Inform patients of any changes in their appointment schedule
    • Collect patient demographic and insurance information accurately
    • Determine when to escalate issues to triage or management
    • Provide pre-appointment instructions to patients
    • Address questions or concerns from patients

    Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 2 years of post-secondary education or equivalent experience in office management/healthcare
    • 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare or professional service setting
    • Effective listening skills, maintaining confidentiality, and resolving patient complaints with patience and professionalism
    • Clear and professional communication skills
    • Ability to multitask between typing and interacting with patients/customers
    • Willingness to learn new computer systems and processes
    • Strong telephone management, organization, and prioritization abilities
    • Capability to direct inquiries and unresolved issues to the appropriate resource

    Location: Currently a remote position. (Open to MN residents only)

    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

    *Full month of continuous training is required for this position*
