- Produces high-quality breast imaging procedures following established guidelines by ARRT, ACR, and MQSA.
- Performs various breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
- Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
- Correlates patient's clinical history with the procedure ensuring documentation for the provider.
- Operates and selects breast imaging equipment for desired results.
- Applies radiation protection principles for safety during procedures.
- Provides patient education, discharge instructions, and ensures patient safety.
- Participates in quality assessments and improvement plans.
- Certification and Registration in Mammography, ARRT
- State Licensure (preferred)
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
- Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred)
- 1 year experience as a registered mammography technologist (preferred)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
- Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
- None
