    Manufacturing Compensation:
    $100,000 - $165,000 / yearDescriptionAs a materials and process engineer, you will be at the forefront of Impulse's manufacturing development efforts. Our spacecraft are designed for the highest standards of reliability and performance, requiring advanced materials and cutting edge manufacturing technologies. You will be part of a fast-paced and team that rapidly moves from concept to prototype and prides itself on testing early and often. ResponsibilitiesActively assist in the design, build, and testing process for all spacecraft hardware Develop manufacturing and inspection approaches for additively manufactured hardwareDevelop compatibility and hazard requirements for fluid systems including nitrous oxide, gaseous oxygen, and cryogenic liquidsSupport development and qualification of advanced materials systems such as composite structures, COPV tanks, and burn-resistant metal alloys Continually mature and enforce the Impulse M&P Control PlanAdvise on hardware inspection techniques and process developmentOwn material characterization and failure analysis Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Materials Science or Engineering, or related discipline5+ years of experience relevant to materials development 4+ years of experience working with metallics & non-metallics Previously demonstrated ownership of hardware related projectsDemonstrated ability of taking project ownership and working well in small teamsPreferred Skills and ExperienceMaster's degree in Materials Science or Engineering, or related disciplineExperience with common manufacturing methods such as casting, welding, brazing, and heat treatment processesExperience with NASA and other space materials standardsExperience in a startup or agile development environment

    Additional Information:
    Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.

    Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.

    In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.

    To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
