We are seeking an Entry-Level Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) to join our team.
As a PCQI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and implementing preventive controls within our organization.

This entry-level position is designed to provide training and hands-on experience, setting a foundation for career growth within the food safety field
Responsibilities:
- Participate in training programs to learn about food safety principles, hazard analysis, and preventive controls.
- Work under the guidance of experienced PCQIs to implement preventive controls.
Hazard Analysis Support:
- Assist in conducting hazard analyses for different products at the facility.
- Learn to identify and assess potential hazards associated with food processing.
Record Keeping Assistance:
- Learn to maintain accurate records related to the Food Safety Plan and verification activities.
- Assist in organizing and documenting preventive control measures.
Training Participation:
- Participate in training sessions to enhance understanding of food safety practices.
- Contribute to the training of personnel on basic food safety principles.
Assistance in Incident Response:
- Learn to develop procedures for responding to incidents related to food safety.
- Support the implementation of corrective actions as directed
Entry-Level PCQI Qualifications:
Education (Nice to have):
- Associate degree in a related field (food science, microbiology, or a related discipline).
Training and Certifications (Must have):
- HACCP & SQFI Certification
- Participation in PCQI course.
Experience:
- Basic understanding of food safety principles
Requirements for Entry-Level PCQI Job Applicant:
Training:
- Completion of basic food safety training programs (HACCP, SQFI, and PCQI).
Experience:
- Familiarity with basic food safety concepts.
Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
Communication Skills:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and work collaboratively.
- Bilingual
- HUGE advantage
Job Type:
Part-time
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Choose your own hours
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
