    Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a

    Unix/Linux System Administrator

    to support NIWC PAC in a

    Hybrid

    role in

    San Diego, CA.


    The selected candidate will work as the Systems Administrator for Confluence, Jira, and other Atlassian applications, along with associated directories and databases (LDAP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).

    Support includes planning and scheduling application and third-party software upgrades a customer managing and configuring Linux Servers as part of an effort to update the NIWC Hub and Hub Services.

    Responsibilities of the

    Linux System Admin Include:
    AWS System Administration, including Azure, VMware and work with Virtual MachinesImaging and restoring system drive with new software upgrades.

    Using Ansible or other scripting languages for automationMaintaining system configurations, user access, and issue-level security to protect user privacy and data integrity.

    Managing Atlassian software products.
    Analyzing and refining customer requirements for business process automation.
    Testing and evaluating system performance.
    Translating customer requirements into business automation workflows scalable across the NIWC workforce.
    Managing IA updates as required.
    Hardening servers to DISA standards.
    Completing ACAS Scans and remediating findings.
    Performing and documenting all applicable STIGs.
    Developing documentation, including code, for sysadmin duties, back-ups, and Network Security (NetSec) service requests.
    Clearance Level

    SecretCertifications (IAT Level II)


    One of the following:
    Security+ CEGIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)Red HatCompTIA Linux+Required Skills

    5+ Years of Experience with Unix/ Linux SystemsExperience with Red Hat VM environment

    Compensation Includes:
    $120,000 - $140,000

    *depending on experience*Paid Holidays, PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, etc
