The opportunity:
- Supporting the operation of a fastpaced, continuousrun manufacturing facility with an emphasis on a "Safety First" culture.
- Read and understand an order spec sheet, load tags, unitizing, palletizing and shipment planning documents.
- Proficiency in operating the forklift—up/down, side shift, forward/backward.
- Perform daily forklift inspection prior to operation and clean the forklift as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate and travel in a safe and efficient manner.
- Safely change propane tanks when emptied using proper lifting techniques.
- Proficiency on the backline, transferring units to a pallet without causing damage to the unit, and orderly stacking practices.
- Loading trucks proficiently with or without pallets.
- Proficiency in locking and unlocking trucks to the docks, raising and lowering the dock plates.
- Understand the green light, yellow light, and red light inside and outside of the plant/loading dock area.
- Comprehend instructions given by supervisors and ability to get along and have a good working relationship with other employees and vendors.

What you need to succeed:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment preferred.
- A strong desire to advance within the industry.
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment minimum of 3 years Forklift Operator experience.
- Flexibility to work swing shifts, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts; available to work overtime, including weekends.
- Math and ruler/tape measurement skills preferred.
